Higher DPI needed, please? 300 dpi at least!

All of the Illustrations we create are only rendered at 96dpi, irrespective of the size of the image we create. This makes it too low for good printing. We can of course upscale or upgrade it but it still renders at 96dpi.
Whilst we can create an SVG, the styling comes out better in the Illustration mode.
So, please, can you give us the option to choose 300 DPI when creating larger images for printing?

I believe there's a misunderstanding here – this is less about a technical issue and more about fundamental aspects of image editing.
Recraft offers powerful tools like the “Upscale Tool” and the “Creative Upscale Tool,” which can generate and export high-resolution images. These are ideal for both digital use and high-quality print media.
The resolution of an image (measured in dpi – dots per inch) is determined by the number of pixels relative to the physical size of the output area.
For example:
An image with a resolution of 6000 × 4000 pixels will have a print resolution of approximately 330 dpi when placed on an A4 page (about 21 × 29.7 cm).
If the same image is scaled to fit an A3 page (twice the size), the resolution drops to around 150 dpi.
In general:
The smaller the output size, the higher the resolution (more pixels per inch). Conversely, the larger the output area, the lower the dpi value becomes.
Many print shops recommend a target resolution of 300 dpi for printing. However, this doesn't refer to the native resolution of the image itself—it simply means that the final format must contain enough pixels per inch to ensure a sharp print.
In graphic programs like Photoshop, you can easily change the dpi of an image via the “Image Size” or “Resample” function to 300 dpi. This doesn’t increase the number of pixels—instead, it reduces the physical dimensions of the image. The file becomes smaller in print size, but not more detailed.
So in my opinion its nothing that recraft have to fix its more how you handle the image for the perfect output

I support this request too, and I know that there are many of us using Recraft, many of us signed up yesterday (myself included) because someone we all follow posted about Recraft. Because of what we are doing with them we all want to both upscale and change the dpi of our images to 300dpi. If you can let us do this it save a lot of time in our workflows, and you will be one of the only platforms giving us this option. I know of only 2 others, and most people are unaware of how to do it in one of those platforms. That is a feature you can market and promote and shout from the rooftops because so many of us want this so we don't have to download then bring every image into some other program to change the dpi.

Hi Susie,
Have you tried to use generative upscale with your images? The results should be aligned with your needs.

Ekaterina Voloboy I tried upscaling with both of the options singularly, & when I view each upscale image in Windows it still shows 96dpi. If I upscale with first one option then do the other option as well, on the upscaled option, it reduces the size of the file but it still stays at 96dpi. If I upscale with Gigapixel, I can upscale to 800dpi but it does change from 32bit to 24bit. However, I have now added the options for the Horizontal & Vertical Dimensions for a graphics folder where that image is & they are all 96dpi apart from the 800dpi I upscaled in Gigapixel. see image:
I can of course change an image to SVG but that make a picture look peculiar but it does reduce the file size. And if I open it in Affinity Designer, save as a affinity file then change the document properties to 300dpi & export it, it does export at 300 dpi. see other image.
But to do this for 50 images is going to take a very long time, hence my request for a 300dpi output for exporting Recraft graphics. Your software is amazing & I absolutely love it but this change would make it extraordinary amazing! Many thanks, Susie 😍
